Many English football supporters won’t be too well acquainted with Radamel Falcao, a striker that is currently representing Colombia in the Copa America, although the forward played a starring role for FC Porto last season as they won the Portuguese league title and the Europa League.
After the departure of Andre Villas-Boas to Chelsea, speculation has intensified that Falcao will be about to make a similar move with talk of a £27 million move and the player hasn’t exactly moved to quash any rumours.
The Colombian said: “There is a club that I dream to play for. They are foreign but I do not want to say who it is now. The Spanish league is good, but I prefer the Premier League as there is a better atmosphere on the field.
“I have matured in every respect and I am qualified to play in a big league. I never thought I would score so many goals. It has been a surprise for me and I have benefited from the quality that we have in our team.”
However, perhaps Chelsea won’t be the Premier League destination of Falcao, with Liverpool in greater need of a striker considering the Blues have Torres, Drogba and Anelka already on the books.
