The Greyhound Derby is probably the biggest race on the UK calendar and the track at Wimbledon will be packed on Saturday night to watch the six remaining dogs go for glory.

It is no surprise to see Taylor’s Sky as the 15/8 favourite (Blue Square – £20 free bet) and this could be the runner that they all have to beat, especially after he showed excellent early pace to lead all the way in the first semi-final and equal a new Wimbledon track record.

However, the greyhound that many people are tipping up to have the edge on Saturday night is Barefoot Bullet, who is available at odds of 3/1 with Stan James. The Bullet is rated at just one point less than the favourite and was only ¾ of a length behind Taylor’s Sky in the last heat.

Razldazl George was the winner of the second semi-final and sponsors William Hill (£25 free bets) go 7/2 that he proves victorious once again in the final, with the dog having illustrated an impressive turn of speed on the fourth bend to win by over two lengths.

Cloheena Cash was the surprise runner-up in the semi-final and will once again be starting in the outside trap for the final, with Hill’s going 14/1 that Cloheena pulls off an even bigger surprise by landing the spoils.

Westmead Guru (8/1 William Hill) probably has the capability of running a bigger race, with Bright Redcliffe (16/1 Betfred – £50 free betting) the big outsider of the half dozen.
