Leeds United v Millwall, Monday 7.45pm
The police will be out in force for this Sky-televised encounter and the Lions appear to have the Indian sign over their Yorkshire opponents at the moment. Kenny Jackett’s team knocked Leeds out of the play-offs last term and are 7/2 (Sky Bet) to complete a league double over United by winning on Monday.
It’s a big price considering that Millwall are on something of a roll and the home side appear to have been stumbling since winning at Old Trafford in the FA Cup. The south London side have recently beaten Norwich and Charlton to clamber into the play-off positions and can move to within three points of Leeds with a win here. Blue Square go 10/1 that it’s a slender 1-0 victory in favour of the visitors.
The bookies were actually offering a ‘Betting without Leeds’ market earlier in the season as it appeared that the west Yorkshire team were going to walk the league. However, Simon Grayson’s team have taken just three wins from their last thirteen and the 10/11 (Ladbrokes) about the biggest club in League One won’t be to everyone’s liking. That’s despite boasting the talented Jermaine Beckford (9/2 Coral) in attack.
