Luis Suarez has regularly made the back pages since signing for Liverpool in January and it has mostly been for the right reasons.
While the Uruguayan was caught up in a race row with Patrice Evra this week, the allegations levelled against the Reds striker have so far been unproven and the forward is now looking to help fire Liverpool to success.
Suarez reckons that he is playing for a team on the rise and that they can beat any team with their current form and confidence levels.
“We’re certainly capable of beating anyone,” said Suarez.
“The team is in good form and feeling very confident and it’s also good the manager can see we have the ambition to pick up trophies.
“But for now, we’ll take each match as it comes and hope to pick up some victories in the next few games.”
Suarez claims that a 1-1 draw with Manchester United illustrates that they are among the better teams in the league.
“It shows promise for the rest of the Premier League campaign,” he told liverpoolfc.tv.
“I think the new arrivals have all been positive additions that have helped the team a lot.
“Although they know they are key players, the main thing is all of the squad knows we are in it together”.
