Carlos Tevez was deemed surplus to requirements at Manchester United, although the club’s Premier League neighbours regard the striker as invaluable to their hopes of landing the title next season.

Tevez may demand more than £200,000 a week in salary and also regularly cause a commotion regarding his disdain for Manchester and everything English, although City greatly depend on the Argentine for his goals and general work rate.

This summer, there has been speculation linking Tevez with a move to Inter Milan, although Roberto Mancini has moved to quash those rumours, especially after the Italian club rejected a swap deal involving Samuel Eto’o.

“Yes, of course Tevez will stay, he is a fantastic player,” Mancini said. “There was talk of an exchange with Eto’o but Inter did not want to sell. I would say a deal for Savic has been done, but Nasri? No, not yet”.

It is clear that City would like to land the services of Nasri who earned rave reviews for his Arsenal performances last season and it appears that both Manchester clubs would like to sign the French midfielder who certainly hasn’t committed his future to the Gunners.

Carlos Tevez is best odds 10/1 with bet365 bookmakers to be Top Premiership Goalscorer 2011/12.
