Carlos Tevez is getting closer to the Eastlands exit door, although it appears that the Manchester City supporters will have another Argentine to worship if the latest reports are to be believed.
Tevez is currently the subject of substantial bids from Brazilian club Corinthians and it appears there is little chance of the former Manchester United forward remaining in England. However, Sergio Aguero could be the ideal replacement according to Roberto Mancini.
Aguero is another Argentina international who is currently plying his trade at Atletico Madrid and Mancini certainly feels that the 23-year-old can slot into the set-up.
He told Sky Sports News: “Aguero is a player that can play for Manchester City because he is young and he is a good player like Carlos. He can score a lot of goals and can play with Mario (Balotelli), with Edin (Dzeko)… it could be (that he joins).”
City supporters will feel pleased that a quality replacement is being lined up should Tevez leave the club and it also appears that Mancini has his eyes on Samir Nasri, who continues to angle for a move away from Arsenal.
