Millwall appear to be experiencing that difficult second season in the Championship after finishing ninth in the table last time out. The Lions had one of the best home records in the division last season, winning twelve of their matches, although Kenny Jackett’s team have just a solitary success against Forest on the board at the moment.
A 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough on Saturday keeps them out of the relegation zone and they have a reasonable chance to start climbing the table on Tuesday night, with bet365 (£200 free bets) offering 11/8 about the home side recording a valuable three points.
The season had started so well for Millwall where they led 2-0 at Reading before drawing 2-2 and the same thing happened at home to Peterborough. However, that draw at Boro did end a run of three losses, with the south London side lacking firepower since the departure of Steve Morison.
Darius Henderson and Patrick Agyemang are the strikers briefed with trying to find the net at the moment, at least until Josh McQuoid returns from injury. Brighton have no such worries thanks to the presence of Craig Mackail-Smith and Ashley Barnes in the team, although it didn’t stop them drawing 0-0 with Hull on Saturday.
The Seagulls sit 5th in the table after a decent start and their away form is actually better than that at the AMEX Stadium, with Ladbrokes (£50 free betting) offering a tempting 2/1 that Gus Poyet’s team land victory.
