Jason Donovan has quite literally not put a foot wrong during 2011 Strictly Come Dancing so far and the likeable Australian has now shortened to odds of 7/4 (bet365 – £200 free bets) following another strong performance with dance partner Kristina.
The ex-Neighbours actor managed a score of 43 for his foxtrot and appears to be capable of adapting to most dances, although Harry Judd is also showing a neat turn of step and the McFly drummer has shortened in the betting to 11/4 (Ladbrokes – £50 free betting).
Judd and Aliona should go a long way if the young female voters have anything to do with it, although Holly Valance and dance partner Artem surpassed them with 30 last weekend and the other ex-Neighbours cast member is a 6/1 chance to go all the way.
The bookmakers are currently seeing 2011 Strictly as a three-horse race, although Chelsee Healey and Pasha are a 12/1 poke after a solid combined total of 56 from the first two weeks, with Anita Dobson managing the same sub-total.
Audley Harrison and Nancy Dell’Olio appear to be the celebrities drinking in last chance saloon and Harrison’s unpopularity probably makes him a decent bet on the Next Eviction market at 7/4.
The Italian ex-girlfriend of Sven-Goran Eriksson is probably the worst dancer left in the competition, although the public might warm to her flat-footedness more than Harrison, with the bookies also making her a 7/4 shot.
