Last week Chelsee Healey topped the Strictly leaderboard with her partner Pasha after showing she definitely has the skill and determination to go to the final at least.

It is Harry Judd, however, who is maintained as the bookies’ favourite and can still be backed at a best price 2/1 (Paddy Power – £100 free bets). Second favourite is Jason Donovan who surprised many with the disjointed nature of his Rumba, but he is sure to up his game this week.

Other couples who impressed in last week’s show were Holly and Artem and, particularly, Anita Dobson with her partner Robin. The ex-Eastenders star belied her years to produce another energetic performance that caught the eye of the judges and audience alike and she could be a good each-way bet to win while still at 66/1 (Ladbrokes – £50 free betting). The bookie is paying out 1/5 of the odds for a top-three finish, so get on quick before they slash her price.

Lulu’s time at Strictly was brought to an end last week after Russell Grant’s infectious enthusiasm again motivated the public to save his bacon after he scored the least of the dancers. As such it appears Russell could be around for some weeks left, leaving Audley Harrison looking the most likely to be knocked out this week. The bookies agree, making him odds-on to go.

Overall then, it appears Jason’s progress has been stunted, or rather others have surpassed him. In particular Chelsee Healey continues to impress, each week showing great panache and style that is lacking in some of her competitors. Now might be the time to back her to win the series given she’s only third favourite at odds of 10/3 (Skybet), and hope she bewitches the public as she has the judges.
