Tottenham midfielder looking ahead to Manchester City clash

Just as everyone was starting to talk about Tottenham as potential title contenders, the north London side slipped up at home to Wolves on Saturday although the 1-1 draw wasn’t a complete surprise

Harry Redknapp’s side have been struggling to break teams down at White Hart Lane in the past couple of months, while Wolves recently landed a point at the Emirates and are nothing if not resilient.

However, Spurs are just two points behind Manchester City ahead of the latter’s trip to Wigan, while the two title rivals meet at Eastlands next weekend. Scott Parker is relishing the contest and believes that his team can still pip their Manchester rivals.

“I think we can still win the title, definitely,” Parker said.

“We need to believe that we can win every game and then see where that puts us.

“We have to enjoy this moment and obviously be happy where we are, keep enjoying it and get the best results.

“We will quickly dust ourselves down from this game and we will go to Man City looking forward to it and hopefully get the three points.

“It’s a big game and I am sure we will come out on the front foot looking to win.”
