Sixteen acts were reduced to twelve last weekend in the X Factor and the biggest shock was the exit of Amelia Lily who had been second favourite on the outright market before the judges decided to dismiss her from the competition.

It once again served to highlight what a strong hand Kelly Rowland has at the moment and the Destiny’s Child singer is no better than 4/6 (bet365 – £200 free bets) to be the winning mentor of the 2011 X Factor.

Rowland has favourite Janet Devlin among her trio and Ladbrokes (£50 free betting) make her an 11/4 shot to claim victory ahead of Misha Bryan at 9/2, while Sophie Habibis is also likely to feature at the business end of the competition.

However, the big market movers this week have been The Risk who were impressive performers last weekend and there has been a huge plunge on the 5-piece boy band that are slightly different from your average group.

Craig Colton has also got skinnier in the betting and Gary Barlow’s advised diet also appears to be making the singer slimmer as the weeks go on. The 23-year-old student is likeable and could be favourite in a couple of weeks if his performances continue to be strong.

Nu Vibe are the 2/1 favourites to be the next group evicted, with Rhythmix on offer at 4/1 and Kitty Brucknell available at 5/1. Johnny Robinson and Sami Brookes are the other acts that appear vulnerable at odds of 6/1.
