X-Factor 2013 – Betting guide

X-Factor Betting guide, make the most of the best prices available online

X-Factor – love it or loathe it, it never fails to stir passion across the nation’s living rooms and work-places, and the weekly viewing-figures for the TV talent extravaganza speak for themselves. The online bookmakers take a keen interest in the talent on display, and sometimes the lack of it, and offer the punter various ways in which to bet on it. For regular die-hard fans who want to become even more involved and further increase their interest and enjoyment, the best way is to place a bet on whoever you think the winner will likely be.

We are down to twelve finalists now, so the interest is pretty much hotting up, with proper talent on display, and with clear favourites emerging the betting is also hotting up.

Sixteen-year-old Tamera Foster is very much in the front-running, with best price of 5/2 with Bet365 hoping that she steers through ahead of her closest rivals.

The leader of the chasing pack is Nicholas McDonald, who easily booked his place in this year’s final, priced at 9/2 from Bet365 and as has happened in the past, the chaser can often overtake the leader in the closing stages.

Hannah Barrett will certainly provide stiff opposition and is available at 11/2 on the general market. Paddy Power and Skybet are offering a generous 8/1 for Abi Alton, and Sam Bailey is close behind with a best price of 11/1 from Bet365. These could be very tempting for each-way bets, and neither are there to purely make up the numbers.

Rough Copy look really well priced at 12/1 from most bookmakers and Miss Dynamix equally good value with a best price of 16/1 offered from bwin.com. Sam Callahan is a very worthwhile option, and the best price offered for him is 20/1 at Paddy Power and Ladbrokes.

Kingsland Road are being offered at 20/1 by Betfred, Paddy Power and William Hill. Luke Friend leads the last three, offered at 33/1 by Betfred, Stan James and Paddy Power, and Lorna Simpson still looks good at 40/1. Shelly Smith is not everyones favourite to win, but is still worth considering with odds of 66/1 from Ladbrokes and Coral.

In reality, anyone could win this with a good performance, and as with previous years, the unexpected can indeed happen although there are some clear favourites here, and in all honesty Tamera Foster, Nicholas McDonald and Hannah Barrett will be hard to catch.
