Nine acts remain in the X Factor this week, although the field will be trimmed down to seven after it was revealed that there would be a double elimination this weekend, something which is sure to put the cat amongst the pigeons.
It will be nice to see Kelly Rowland grace us with her presence after the Destiny’s Child singer destined to take a week out after getting hot under the collar with other judges on the panel, although the American still has the favourite in the field.
Janet Devlin seems to be unflappable and continues to operate at the top of the betting market, with the flame-haired singer avoiding conflicts with other acts and getting on with the job. She is a worthy favourite at 11/4 (Coral – £30 free bets).
Craig Colton continues to be supported and the likeable scouser can also count on the whole of Liverpool voting for the Gary Barlow act. Betfred (£50 – free betting) are one of the few firms that are holding 5/1.
However, it continues to be a wide open competition and the only acts that are unlikely to win the X Factor are Kitty Brucknell and Frankie Cocozza. The latter was among the favourites to win at the beginning although he is now 6/4 favourite to get the axe.
Brucknell might be saved if the public decide to get rid of Johnny Robinson or Misha Bryan, although Marcus Collins has sung himself into contention and The Risk also look safe for at least a couple more weeks.
